The Polish Gala Best of European Business More then two hundred guests, the representatives of the elite of the Polish business, participated in the Polish Award Ceremony of the Best of European Business contest. The honourable guest of the Gala was Marek Kamiński, a famous Polish traveller, author of books, social worker and businessman; the first and only man in the world who gained both poles of Earth within one year aidless from outside.
During the ceremony the Jury under the leadership of Ludwik Sobolewski, the CEO of Warsaw Stock Exchange awarded six best Polish firms:
in the category of Growth:
> large firms: LPP
> medium-sized firms: Famur and Koelner
in the category of Mergers & Acquisitions:
> PKN ORLEN
in the category of International Competitiveness:
> large firms: Gdańska Stocznia Remontowa named after Józef Piłsudski SA (ship repair yards)
> medium-sized firms: Inter Groclin Auto
